About
Thank you for being here.
This an invitation to explore your mental, physical, and spiritual landscape. Each time we unroll our mats, we are met with the opportunity to connect with ourselves on a deeper level, guided by breath and presence.
Together, when we create space for movement, play and mindfulness, we create an opportunity for a sense of joy & self-discovery that extends way beyond the mat.
This is a journey that can permeate all areas of your life.
Guiding self-exploration
I think of myself as a facilitator of self-inquiry, here to guide you not just through a series of asanas but also on your path toward wholeness — toward a deeper understanding of yourself. Whilst I teach the physical practice of yoga, I ultimately want you walk away feeling empowered, with tools to help you live more curiously, compassionately and confidently through this world.
In my classes, you’ll find an embodied, inquisitive approach that encourages exploration rather than perfection. You won’t hear me telling you you’re “doing it wrong,” because I feel strongly that yoga is a practice of self-discovery, not a one-size-fits-all experience.
My Toolkit
I bring in a range of techniques and influences in my classes to support you;
-
A dynamic flow linking breath to movement, designed to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Cultivate the balance of effort and ease as you explore your practice.
-
For me an embodied approach is about welcoming the whole of us to our practice. It’s about creating a calm, regulated nervous system through the application of Polyvagal Theory. An embodied approach feels like coming home to ourselves.
-
A deeply restorative practice of conscious relaxation. Through guided meditation, Yoga Nidra helps reduce stress, improve sleep, and bring a profound sense of calm and clarity.
-
A practice of focused breathing techniques to enhance energy, mental clarity, and inner balance. Pranayama helps calm the mind, deepen your practice, and connect you to the present moment.
-
A practice of cultivating focus and presence through stillness. Meditation helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and foster a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.
My Background
With over a decade of personal practice, I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga training with Trimurti Yoga in Goa, India in 2019. I’ve deepened my understanding through continued study, particularly in anatomy, learning from renowned teachers like Leslie Kaminoff, Amy Mathews, Jason Crandell, Sarah Williams and Celest Pereira along the way.
More recently Calli Popham has become an important teacher of mine, her embodied approach to yoga resonates deeply with me. I’ve completed trainings with here in both Embodied approaches to Yoga and Pre-natal Yoga.
What to expect in my classes
Expect a welcoming and lighthearted space, where we can enjoy the joy of movement together. While I take the practice seriously, I believe yoga doesn’t always have to be so serious! In my classes, you’ll find a blend of personal insights, Yogic philosophy, seasonal themes, and skill-based asana, all set to the rhythm of your breath.
You’ll find yourself on a journey where ancient wisdom and modern science meet, creating a practice that feels both grounding and expansive.
Why I teach
I’m deeply passionate about community and holding space for you — for you to explore, learn and reconnect with yourself. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can move beyond ego and the stories that hold you back and tap into the joy that exists within your practice.
I want to remind you that we can celebrate movement, not just as a form of exercise, but as a way to embrace the beauty of being alive.
I hope to share my learnings with you on a mat somewhere soon.
