Thoughts are the brain's version of the lungs filling and emptying with breath or the heart pumping. It's just what it does. Read that again. Your thoughts are just the function of the organ of the brain. As Mo Gawdat once said, “We don’t say: I piss therefore I am!” we do not identify with the functions of our bladder, yet we identify with our thoughts.
