How to: Neutral S curve in Downward Dog

……………………………………………………………………

Neutral S curve is not the Be All and End All position to maintain in your posture practice, however it is useful to know where neutral is for our spines, especially in a posture we visit so often! When we know where neutral is, we can intentionally move in and out of it, rather than only hanging out in the extremes!

Personally I find neutral S curve to be a pretty comforting place to hang out in Dog. I enjoy moving in and out of it, exploring the waves my spine is capable of. When we’re in neutral S, our Nervous Systems receive a hefty dose of calming signalling too. Rest & Digest? You betcha!

Neutral S curve can be quite a weird one to find physcially, especially if you’ve never tried it before - so be patient with yourselves as you follow my steps below, takes photos of videos of yourself to help you ‘See Feelingly’ and remember - its a practice!
